EDSO for Smart Grids welcomes new members and new EC communication on Smart Grids
During its Board of Directors meeting in Brussels the May 31st 2011, EDSO for Smart Grids was pleased to welcome PPC SA from Greece, Stromnetz Steiermark GmbH from Austria and Enea Operator sp. z o.o. from Poland as new members. Mr. Per-Olof Granström was officially appointed Secretary General of EDSO for Smart Grids. EDSO for Smart Grids welcomes the recently issued EC Communication “Smart Grids: from Innovation to Deployment”.

EDSO for Smart Grids members now covering more than 50% of European electricity metering points
EDSO for Smart Grids welcomes 3 Romanian electricity distribution companies joining the Association and strengthening EDSO representativeness in Eastern Europe. The number of European distribution system operators that have joined the EDSO for Smart Grids Association has increased to 22 leading actors in 14 countries of the European Union. In the coming weeks two additional distribution system operators are expected to join the Association bringing EDSO’s weight to 24 members in 16 countries of the European Union and reaching more than 50% of its electricity metering points.
