DISCERN project final event “Enhancing electricity networks through the use of distributed intelligence”

“Enhancing electricity networks through the use of distributed intelligence”

DISCERN project final event – Frankfurt (DATE AND PLACE CHANGED)

Distribution System Operators (DSOs) are presently addressing the complex challenge of determining the cost effective level of network intelligence necessary to manage their grids and maintain security and reliability as the uptake of renewable generation and low carbon technologies such as electric vehicles increases.

DISCERN provides the community of European DSOs with tools, knowledge and access to shared experiences in order to answer evolving practical questions such as:

  • How much intelligence do distribution networks need to ensure the security of supply?
  • What is the best approach for determining the most cost-effective solution for implementing this level of intelligence in the network?
  • How should the ICT-infrastructure be designed to best serve the requirements of a DSO?

In this upcoming final DISCERN conference, the consortium members will present their findings and discuss these issues, sharing their recommendations with DSOs, technology providers, policy makers and standardization bodies.

We look forward to meeting you in this final event to be held on:
