2018 InnoGrid2020+ Conference

Brussels, 15-16 May 2018

Venue: BOZAR (Palais des Beaux-Arts), Rue Ravenstein 23, Brussels

InnoGrid2020+ is THE event on innovation in European electricity networks. The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) and the European Distribution System Operators for Smart Grids (EDSO) will focus this 7th year edition on the next decade’s challenges for the power grids and provide insights and solutions through innovative projects, demonstrators and pilots. Special attention will be devoted to sectorial integration, as well as data and cybersecurity needs resulting from an increasingly digitalised world, by including them in a transatlantic and global perspective.

What do customers, market players and policy makers expect from distribution and transmission operators in the new energy system? How shall electricity grids be further developed, planned and managed? What risks will we have to face? Which hard and soft technologies can enable smarter and more digital grids? Which regulation is needed? How can flexibility be tapped and managed in complex power systems? These and many other key questions will be on the agenda.

A networking exhibition will also showcase R&D projects with a European scope that will present their work and results. Calls for applications will be sent out shortly.

As for previous editions, we are expecting no less than 350 participants from the industry, associations, EU institutions, regulators, academic world and Member States to debate developments for our electricity grids of the future.
