This year’s E.DSO SIC edition was dedicated to “Landscaping the Future Grids & Customers” and addressing the fundamental questions of how to define innovation, regulation, and expectations in the ever-evolving landscape of the European energy system. The event was propelled by the imperative “Make it happen,” emphasizing the urgency to transition away from carbon-emitting energy sources, prioritize electricity as the primary energy source, and transform the power grid into a nearly emissions-free system by 2035, aligning with the EU’s ambitious net-zero emissions target by 2050.
