In order to ensure that engineers are capable of working with the changing requirements of renewable-intensive grids so that there is a sound understanding applied to design of connections (and ensuring that those building their own connections contestably also have access to such learning), ESB collaborated with a local university in the development of a post-graduate certificate programme in Smart Sustainable Power Engineering which is delivered in a suitable way for full-time employees.
