Guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure (TEN-E) – EDSO views
The proposal for a Regulation from the European Commission to create a new instrument to fund the interconnection of Europe through new road, energy and ICT infrastructure is very welcomed by DSOs, however, the criteria for a project to be eligible to the label “Smart Grid Project of Common Interest” seem very difficult to fulfill. In this paper, EDSO highlights 4 issues than need to be addressed to make possible the deployment of smart grids with the help of the new proposed instrument.
